A support group that helps persons with mental or physical illness stay on the path to wellness, Spring and Fall Classes on alternate Wednesday evenings. Go here for information.(Registration required.)

IFSS Support Group

Family to Family
12 week program teaches caregivers knowledge and skills to cope with family member’s mental illness, Classes in spring and fall, 7:00-9:30 p.m. for 12 consecutive weeks.  NAMI Center of Mercer County and Trenton Locations.  Details. (Registration required.) 

NAMI Basics
6 week course for parents of children under 19 with behavioral, emotional or mental disorders.  Classes in spring and fall, weekday evening or Saturday morning.  NAMI Center of Mercer County. Details. (Registration required.)

NAMI Connection
For adult consumers, held 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Mondays, 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m., NAMI Center of Mercer County. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. DATE/TIME CHANGE: In February 2012 only, NAMI Connection will be held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30. Starting Tuesday, February 14.

Just Kids
A social group for children under 18, 3rd Saturday of the month, 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m., Various locations or NAMI Center of Mercer County. (Call for monthly information.)

Dekia Smith is Care Manager Supervisor at Capital County Children's Collaborative and Traumatic Response Coordinator.

Animal-Assisted Therapy.
Tricia Baker, CPDT-KA, is co-director of A.I.R (Attitudes In Reverse), a nonprofit whose mission is to start conversations about mental health issues and to prevent student suicide.

Apr. 17 (Tuesday) 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Healing from Trauma: Using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills to Create a Better Life for Those Suffering From Post-trauma Symptoms.
Kerry DelMastro, Ed.S., LPC, NCC, is in private clinical practice and serves as a group therapist for Princeton House Women's Programs. She has training in DBT, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and other counseling modalities.
